College wasn’t really a big thing for us, we were kind of a low income family. But when my teacher saw something in me that I couldn’t see in myself and helped me grow so much throughout the years. From there on, it changed my perspective on college and making a better future for myself and my family.

There was a teacher, that I would say was the goal of a teacher. If I became a teacher that’s exactly how I would want to be. She was my former 8th grade health teacher. She was always positive, she always brought warmth and happiness to the classroom. She always got us hyped up and ready to learn!
